Good morning fellow bloggers,
Have you got your load of laundry in yet this morning? As soon as I get out of the shower and dressed, that is my very next step. BEFORE I eat breakfast, before I do anything else. After loading the laundry, I swish and swipe the toilets, and spray down my glass shower doors with my bleach solution. All of that takes me less than 5 minutes! I then help dd with her hair if she needs it. Get my breakfast in, do a little hot spot prevention and pick one thing that needs to be done and work on it as long as I have time for before leaving to drop the kids off at school and get to work. This is usually my mornings. Oh, and forever shine your sink---that is so habitual for me I don't even think about it ;) ;)
Today marks the first day of Lent. Many religions including mine will fast today. I will attend Mass tonight. Have you contemplated what you're working on this Lenten season? Now is the time ;) In a letter to our parish, our Priest wrote....Any act of charity, penance, or self-denial can be fruitful if it is practiced for the right reason: to focus on God and His love. He goes on to say to suggest a different kind of fast this year: to refrain from gloominess(giving something up) and instead radiate the joy of being a Christian('nough said).
Handy tip for this morning: What have your kids done to do their share around the home this morning? And if you don't have kids, what about dh? Engage them in helping you. I find the more I make it fun for the kids, the more willing they are to help. (and they also know that if they don't get their own laundry to the laundry room, it doesn't get done :( I have 2 kids and dh, if all 4 of us take one task every morning, it's not so overwhelming for me on the weekend. Make it age appropriate, so that if you have little ones they can help too. The earlier you begin a habit, the more blessed you'll be as they age.
Did you go and listen to Rick Burgess about Bronner yet? If not, take time to do that, and soon. Powerful testimoney to God.
all for now,
