Flat Stanley came home this weekend. He has been to Washington DC to visit Ms. Stupica and her Kindergarten class. While there, he got to see many national landmarks including the White House and many other sites! He arrived back in Boonville and had a short stay at David Barton Elementary before coming home-home this weekend. He was greeted by the cats who couldn't remember him and didn't care that he came back. Stephanie was glad to have him back though. She convinced me to make him some new clothes and let him help cook supper one night! woui!!! He also traveled with us to Columbia to do some sports shopping for the kids. (by the way, the cat is Bandit, Mom's cat, and the pots on the stove are what the kid's fixed for supper-chicken and dumplings and mashed potatoes!)
How's the Fly Lady going for everyone? I had too much going on this past week to do one single task. Oh, well that's not completely true, as I got dressed to the shoes every day, did a load of laundry every day, cleaned my sink every day- ok guess I did do some of it, just not zone cleaning. I miss doing a 27 fling thing each week. I had been taking 2 garbage bagsfull to Unlimited Opportunities about every other week for a while. That makes you feel so good to know it's going to a good cause. http://www.flylady.net/
I am still reading a chapter a week on A New Earth, see previous post for more info. Since Ethan and I figured out how to download Oprah's class on my MP3 player, I can keep up with it now!
Speaking of Oprah.... and along the lines of what the book is about....have you all seen the episode where Professor Randy Pausch talks about leaving this earth and saying goodbye because he's dying of pancreatic cancer? He actually gave this as a lecture to his college students, but it is very worthwhile to watch and very thought provoking. Only 11 minutes long. Find it here: http://video.stumbleupon.com/#p=ithct48cqw and I hope that link works.
Finally, how many of you know about Beth Moore? Does anyone know where I can find her on TV? She is supposed to have a show on TV called Wednesday's with Beth, but so far I can't find it. Let me know if you do.
All for tonight,
Lana
